Herpes therapeutic drug on clinical trials?

Recommended Posts

Yes it does. AIC-316 (Pritelivir) is for both types. It's supposed to be hundreds of times more efficient than valtrex. It's from a german Company: AiCuris and they are trialing in phase II right now.

I just spoke with Dr. Peter Leone last night who is at the forefront of all things herpes/HPV. (I'll be posting the hour-long video of him after I edit it.) He says of all the vaccines out there that there are some promising ones and he says at best it will be about 5-10 years for any of them to get to market.

These days, I almost hesitate to post these kinds of things based on what I voiced previously on this post. It gives people hope, yes, but there have been so many hopes very similar to this that have had people put their lives on hold waiting for some sort of cure that may never come. It's a double-edged sword: Awesome that there seems to be a cure in sight, but live your life NOW. That's what we're all about.
