HSV 1 possible transmission ?

So I have oral herpes and I kissed a guy late Saturday night and woke up Tuesday morning with a cold

Sore (I just got over being a little sick). I know the prodrome stage can start as early as 48 hours before a sore appears, but I’m freaking out just a bit because he doesn’t get cold sores and transmitting it to him would be stressful as hell for both of us. Do you thing I could have transmitted it?

Hard to say. It's probably just as likely that he already has it and is asymptomatic. Keep in mind that most people already have HSV1 by the time they reach adulthood. So chances are if he doesn't already he will soon with or without your kisses.
