Newbie starter questions

Recommended Posts

I am both HSV1 and HSV2 positive, my guy is too. Ive had cold sores for as long as i can remember. And just diagnosed both positive 2 weeks ago, and my guy was yesterday.

newbie starter questions re: hsv-2

(1) do I have to worry about passing anything to my grandkids or my kids? (Thru household stuff)

(2) Is it passed through blood? Spit? Boogies? Or any other bodily fluids other than genital fluids?

(3) can I pass it by kissing my grandkids or kids? (They are 7 and younger and still insist on mouth smooches)

SEX starter questions:

(1) are outbreaks generally in the same genital area or can they be anywhere in the genital region? -my first one was between my vaginal and anal area.- I've read more yes than no on this in my research so I'm not really sure.

(2) if 2 people are positive but only 1 is having an outbreak, can this cause the other person to have an outbreak as well - my guy has MS (multiple sclerosis) and an active virus causes a relapse in his MS. He hasn't had an outbreak and I have. I'm worried that if I'm having an outbreak that it would be similar to the way a fever blister is: if one of the little blister pops and the fluid transfers that it could cause him to have an outbreak.... (does that make sense)

(3) for outbreaks in areas that a condom wouldn't necessarily protect against (like the one mentioned in #1) I'm assuming that no sex is probably the best option, or do I refer to answer #2
