Cannot find straight answers!!

I contracted genital herpes from my partner's cold sore... what I want to know is this:

Now that I have genital herpes, can I still catch cold sores from her?

Why is such a simple question so difficult to find an answer to?

And is that just with regards to her? Does that mean I can't catch cold sores from anyone else now?
