Coping and Thinking too Much

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I'm brand new to this and to having H, I was diagnosed yesterday, but I diagnosed myself a couple days before. I was a virgin for the longest time and just lost it about two months ago and lo and behold it came with H. I am a Christian girl, my mother keeps those Christian values, she told me if I lost my virginity before marriage, that she would disown me, and I heard this from her a week after. Now I'm at home and my first and current outbreak was awful, I had a UTI on top of it and ended up in the ER with a high fever, things were looking bad. Well my parents took such good care of me and I want my mom to help me through this but I can't tell her because it would break her heart honestly. Now I have to treat myself and get medications without her knowing and I'm under her insurance and I do not know how to live a lie like this. It's been really hard for me to accept and cope with the fact that I have this and just wanted advice and insight from others like me.

Hey I'm sorry, that sounds tough.. you can of course skip the medication if the outbreaks aren't causing you too much grief. A lot of people including myself prefered the au naturale approach. I dont live in the US, so will your parents see the drug names on their bill? I hope your mum is bluffing about the disownment thing..

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I too am a young Christian woman, lost my virginity at 21 (much later than my friends)...I'm 26 now and just recently diagnosed. I am not currently on any medication, I have very mild symptoms. Some natural things that have worked for me are coconut oil for any irrigation down there, lysine tablets, vitamin D, vitamin c, oil or oregano supplements, olive leaf supplements...but if you're having horrible outbreaks go to planned parenthood and pay out of pocket (75$ for the doctor to look at you and prescribe you meds) the medication acyclovir shouldn't be too expensive! Good luck! I'm praying for you, I know this is hard! You're not alone! Remember God would never give you anything you cannot handle!
