Poem I wrote. We are all fine!

This is a poem I wrote 4 days after my diagnosis. Interestingly enough I wrote the first stanza the day after, but didn't finish it. I came back a few days later and it turned into something completely different. I hope others find it helpful.

I am Fine

Who could want me

with this disease of mine?

Dirty, disgusting, broken as can be.

Damaged, contaminated, untouchable too.

No one will ever want you again.

Lies it will tell you.

I AM NOT THIS DISEASE!

There is so much more to me.

I'm intelligent, funny, and ridiculous you see.

Doesn't matter if you don't want me.

You aren't worth my time.

Who could want me?

I want me, because disease and all, I am fine.
