Quick reply - I have to get to bed... but Welcome!

#1 - is the Dr a GP - if so, get thee to an OBGYN or Planned Parenthood 0 you will get a lot better advice there :)

#2 - Herpes is a slippery bugger that doesn't play by any rules so exactly where you get your itching and for how long will be different for everyone. The itchiness can be a Prodrome symptom (ie, pre breakout and no obvious blisters when you can be shedding) The only thing that is a definite is it will stay in the area where you first got it because it will hang in the nerve ganglion near the spine when it is silent

You are still in the "early days" so anything can happen but remember it WILL get better

Hi L. I am brand new to this. However, I read on numerous websites that neem oil helps. I happen to live in India so neem oil is easy to obtain. And I have to say in 4 applications the pain and itching has subsided. You can usually obtain it at Indian grocery stores or try googling it online. Either neem oil or neem cream. X
