What my Doc told me about herpes

I'm a female living with Herpes and I never get outbreaks …. I had a talk with my Doctor when I first found out and he explained that its just like the ones you get on your lips and everyone has them, either a small amount or a large amount. Don't matter if its on your lips or on your genitals. So I ask "What is one to do to never get this?" He says "Oh its simple, no kissing or Sex Ever." LMAO I replied, "That sucks, cause those are two things I will never stop doing," lol

Ha! Pink, you crack me up! Yep, that matches my experiences and the stories I've heard about how doctors view herpes. It just goes to show the mixed messages that the medical community and our culture give us, right? The herpes stigma our culture holds onto tell us "It's bad, very baaaaad. Be ashamed. Be sad. Hide." And the medical community says, "What? It's just herpes. No big deal. Here are some meds." Why is that? Interesting ...

The H Opp .... yeah I was sad for a while I had this for many year but my doctor explain that Herpes is almost like having a cold or the flu ( which Its scary to me to know this ) that my immune system is so great and high that I will most likely never get out breaks and I could one day get whatever but I won't know unless I get tested regulary, because I don't get sick to show symptom. So I do not have un protected sex unless I clear it off with my guy. .... I'm very happy. Its a part of me just like my bad habit of biting my nails. So anyone can either like me or not ... it's what I think of me what really matters to me!! Its not that bad, and for those who get outbreaks that cream for cold sores works really great down there to speed up recovery ... you'll be back in Action in like 5 days :) Yeah Sex ... lmao
