Herpes and hair growth

Has anyone had any problems with their hair growing since being diagnosed with herpes?

Hi! Are you on antivirals? Hair loss and thinning are listed as side effects for acyclovir and valacyclovir. If you are losing a significant amount of hair, it should probably be discontinued. Definitely talk to your doctor! I’ve only taken them episodically, so I don’t have any long term, first-hand experience with them. Hope that helps.

Well I kinda don’t think my hair fell out because of them but I was wondering if I cut my hair so it’ll grow back would I be okay.

Well I will see. I recently cut mine off because stress broke it off so bad so hopefully it grows back.

Yes it’s growing back I’m taking vitamins daily for it
