Husband Does no have it

Hello I’m new here. It’s been almost a year since I’ve been diagnosed

with herpes. I’m so confused I have been married for17 years.

I have never been unfaithful to my husband and was diagnosed

with HSV 1 on my genital area. My husband went and got tested

and he tested negative for it. My husband has been the only man

that has preformed sex on me orally. I truly

believe I contracted this from my

husband.

The typical Elisa blood test for HSV-1, has a 30% chance of false negative; as such he may actually have the disease and represent a false negative. A Western Blot test could resolve this issue. HSV-1 can also be spread from genital to genital contact.
